Naoyuki Kato to illustrate the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Original Soundtrack Complete Collection!

Artist Naoyuki Kato will provide the album art for the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Original Soundtrack Complete Collection, a new remastering from the original analog masters including both the original soundtrack and previously-uncollected tracks, alternate takes, and film edits.

Naoyuki Kato, known for his album art of the ν Gundam on the original 1988 release, continues a high-profile career as an illustrator.
The limited edition Digipak's tray backing will feature his rare 1988 acrylic of Quess Paraya flanked by new art of the ν Gundam and Sazabi.
In order to add this art, and make the Complete Collection even more complete, its release will be delayed from May 21st to June 11th.

Remastering is proceeding apace, with ten previously-uncollected tracks (including the Newtype combat BGM, the theme for the Neo Zeon fleet's launch from Sweetwater, and the accordion backing for the colony citizens' song to Char) and ten alternate takes planned for inclusion.

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Original Soundtrack Complete Collection will be available as a limited edition for ¥6,000 and a standard edition for ¥2,600.
