The Mobile Suit Gundam film trilogy will come to Blu-ray in the "Mobile Suit Gundam Blu-ray Trilogy Box", published this May 28th by Bandai Visual.
The box will include all three films based on the original series: Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow, and Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space. It will be available in both exclusive Premium and economical standard editions.
The Premium Edition includes not only the three discs of the standard edition, but also three discs featuring the Special Edition 5.1ch voice track recorded in 2000 by many of the original cast, a Blu-ray "Data Archive" with scripts and storyboards, repro pamphlets and fliers, and a 200-page booklet with staff and cast interviews plus print materials from around the original screenings.
Both it and the standard edition will include a "Movie Archive" Blu-ray with the 10th-anniversary video "All That Gundam", the 30th-anniversary videos "Ring of Gundam" and "Gundam Perfect Mission", and more, as well as new audio commentary tracks for the films.
The Premium Edition box is illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Kunio Okawara themselves, with the bonus disc sleeve illustrated by Hajime Katoki. This luxurious set truly does justice to the legendary films that took Japanese society by storm between March 1981 and March 1982!

The Premium Edition will be priced at ¥20,000 (tax not included), while the standard edition will be available for ¥12,000. Preorders for the Premium Edition close on April 16th, The standard edition will remain in print through May 27th, 2016.
