This year's chance to see the newest titles all under one roof begins!
Tokyo Game Show 2012, Japan's largest game event, opens to the public at Makuhari Messe on September 22nd.
Over 200 companies and organizations will be present at this year's show, themed 'Spreading smiles through games'. Each company will show their newest titles, whether for home consoles, handhelds, mobile platforms, or online gaming. A total of 1,043 different games will be on display.
Let's take a look at what was on display during the business days, focusing on Namco Bandai Games's Gundam titles!
This will give you an idea of what to look for if you attend this weekend.
The public is welcome on September 22nd and 23rd. Tickets are ¥1,000 in advance or ¥1,200 at the door. Children 6th grade and under are admitted free.
The massive stage which first catches your eye will host a range of live events.
There's also a huge monitor showing everything from SD Gundam G Generation Over World, due out on the 27th, to the just-announced Gundam Breaker for PS3 and PS Vita.
The booth features playable demo stations for the newest titles, and players of Gundam social games can try their luck at drawing special rare items.
Codes from the draw are usable in five different games: Gundam Royale, Gundam Card Collection, SD Gundam Operations, Gundam Area Wars, and Gundam Online!
