Shots from Gundam Front Tokyo and Yahoo! Japan's seating of the new Gundam pilot!

An event seating a new pilot for the 1/1 Gundam, planned as a charity auction for last year's earthquake victims by Yahoo! Japan as part of their Gundam 2012 Special, was held July 19th at 7:30 PM.

The winner will, for a limited time, be shown as the pilot of the 1/1 Gundam at Diver City Tokyo in Odaiba, Tokyo in lieu of Amuro Ray.

A special video was projected in the festival grounds, and winner Hiroshi Yao was shown in normal suit in the cockpit of the Gundam.
The display drew quite a crowd, including the winner himself.

Proceeds from the charity auction have been donated to Central Community Chest of Japan as part of their Disaster Relief for the East Japan Earthquake program.
