Kira and Cagalli goes to the city of Banadiya, where the ZAFT base is located, to buy food and supplies for the camp. The two accidently meets the “Desert Tiger” Andrew Waldfeld when they are eating lunch and are baffled over his overly friendly manner. Suddenly the anti-Coordinator terrorists, Blue Cosmos, attack them.
Kira helps the fight and Waldfeld brings Kira and Cagalli with him to his palace to thank them. There, Cagalli is cleaned up and brought out by Waldfeld’s girlfriend Aisha in a nice dress. Kira and Cagalli are confused by the strange hospitality.
But Waldfeld knew exactly who they were all along. He pulls out a gun and asks Kira how he thinks the war should end; if a war ends by killing all enemies. But then he suddenly puts the gun away and releases them, saying that he enjoyed talking to them.
Meanwhile, in the Archangel, Sai tries to pilot the Strike Gundam in the hangar and causes a commotion. He fails miserably to control the unit and sobs, hanging his head. And Flay, who was watching, has unshed tears in her eyes.
