INTRODUCTION

Production has begun on Gundam Requiem for Vengeance, a new anime made for global release using Unreal Engine 5

Set during the One Year War that formed the backdrop of the original 1979 MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM, this new six-episode original animated series (30 min per episode) focuses on the war's European front and is intended for a global audience. The series will be animated using Unreal Engine 5 with co-production by SAFEHOUSE. It will feature a screenplay by Gavin Hignight (anime — Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: War For Cybertron, Star Wars: Resistance) and is directed by Erasmus Brosdau (anime — Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness; videogames — Star Citizen, Ryse: Son of Rome, Crysis series).

STORY

In the year Universal Century 0079, a state of war began when the Principality of Zeon declared its independence from the Earth Federation government. In the war's opening stages, the Zeon forces maintained an advantage thanks to the effectiveness of their new weapon, the mobile suit. However, they lacked the fighting strength to fully conquer Earth, and the war became a stalemate.

Eleven months after the outbreak of war, a base in Zeon-occupied Eastern Europe is captured by the Federation Forces. A Zeon composite battalion is sent to recapture the base, and among its members are Solari and her Red Wolf Squadron, a mobile suit team that has only just arrived from space...

Of the mass-produced humanoid weapons developed by the Zeon forces, this was the first to be formally adopted. It was gradually retired from service with the introduction of the Zaku II, but many are still being used on the front lines even now.

A makeshift weapon created by combining the upper body of a Zaku with a Magella Base. Because it is made from spare parts, many variations exist. Rather than being officially produced weapons, these have been created in great numbers by ingenious soldiers in the field.

A state-of-the-art mobile suit developed by the Federation Forces. This machine was designed with an emphasis on ground maneuverability and operating time, allowing it to go deep into enemy territory to perform reconnaissance in force and behind-the-lines disruption. Because all documentation of its development is destroyed in the postwar chaos, its full details will be lost to history.

ASSAULT GUNTANK

A weapon that the Federation Forces developed from a prototype fighting vehicle meant to counter the Zaku II. With a simpler undercarriage than the previous version, it has been deployed in combat as an anti-mobile suit tank.
